Treasurers report: In Absentia;The bank balance was at $510.as of
last week. :
Plus, $14 cash from farmers market donations.
Secretaries report; we have twelve new supporting members bringing
the total to 462 supporting and 52 full members

Coordinator Reports
Tech;Larry will investigate a problem accessing our
www.monroegreens.org website from the IU servers.

Announcements:
Isabel announced adopt –a –road on 9/8 at 10: AM, meet at 819 S
Washington ST.
Jeff announced the Wednesday Peace rally at the courthouse, 5:30PM
And the Jeff Melton fundraiser; 9/6
New Business:

Wording for the Public Service Announcement for our upcoming 10/1
rally was discussed.

Campaign Reports:
A Jeff Melton fundraiser will be held at Bryan park  9/6

Julie: Had letter published in Herald Times. She has also recorded a
Television spot for CAT.s.

Center

Announcements:
Jeff announced `Take Back the Night March to be held 9/26 at 7 PM in
Dunn Meadow.

New Business:

Wording for the Public Service Announcement for our upcoming 10/1
rally was discussed and approved. Auden will fax our 12 media
contacts this week and Nell will follow up with phone calls to ensure
receipt of faxes.

Larry will investigate a problem accessing our www.monroegreens.org
website from the IU servers.

Nell reported on the campus Greens student organization, which is
indeed an official IUB student organization but appears to be
inactive at the moment.

Discussion of the 10/1 rally/call out/mass meeting: Eric and Mel will
hang publicity flyers, Auden will call to confirm Julie's attendance
at the rally, Nell will set up AV and equipment needs with MCPL. Mel
will provide cookies. The rally starts at 7 PM on Tuesday, 10/1, and
all Greens were asked to help set up beginning at 6 PM.

Discussion of Farmers Market tabling: This is less of a priority than
canvassing at the moment, but it was decided that as many Greens as
possible would show up to table at the Market on Saturday, 9/28 from
8:30 to 10:30 AM. Wear your Julie and Jeff t-shirts, please, and
let's have a sea of Greens at market that morning. Nell will make
flyers to hand out at market announcing the 10/1 rally. Rebecca will
post on the announce list.

All those present approved MCGP endorsement of Max Elbaum speaking
event on 10/2. Jeff will solicit approval from more members so we can
reach a quorum vote on this.

Old business: None.
Campaign Reports:
Jeff:  He requested a loan from MCGP for campaign-related expenses,
then withdrew the motion after learning about our marginal account
balance. He will ask the state party for assistance. Jeff has been
invited by the League of Women Voters to participate in a candidates'
debate on WAVE (channel 3, NBC affiliate) on 10/14 at 6 PM our time
(7 PM Louisville time). He plans to attend the event.
