Campaign Debriefing
Jeff Melton received 1.5% of the vote district-wide and 6.5% in
Monroe County. Jeff called this a great showing for a party that did
not even exist two years ago. The number one lesson learned was we
had a serious lack of people needed to run this campaign.
Julie Roberts received 15% of the vote in district 2,Bloomington.
New business;
We discussed the next election, and the possibility of working with
some democrats. Isabel suggested the possibility of a `slate'
approach for the `at large' seats.
Greens Party members present at this meeting were not enthusiastic at
the idea of supporting any so-called progressive Democratic candidate
following the outright lies and general Green Party bashing from
democrats after the election.
Nell suggested that new and old business be moved to the beginning of
the agenda rather than the end.
Dan Hussey will be the Facilitator for next MCGP meeting on December 3
Meeting adjourned at 8:40PM.
