Minutes for Monroe County Green Party general meeting*

Sean Bagley (Steps to Freedom), Isabel Piedmont, Benji Loudermilk,
Jeff Melton, Rebecca Riall, Auden Thomas, Maha Noureldin, Mark
Haggerty, George Murphy.

Action Items:
1.Discussions regarding the possibility of inviting Green
congressional candidate Jonathan Farley, and attracting people of
color to the Green party. Jeff will formally invite Mr.Farley
2.Elections 2003;Strategy Ideas were discussed. Isabel is considering
running if she can get a commitment from 10 to 20 volunteers to help
with her campaign.
3.Position on Mark Kruzan for Mayor; where does he stand on I-69, the
BEDC, and possible Green appointees to commissions and boards. Also,
increased funding for mass transportation, and Solar panels for City
Hall.
Administrative Issues
1.A media coordinator committee was selected, Rebecca, Jeff, and
Benji.
2.The new email discussion list for coordinators will be deleted.
3.The membership forms will be amended to include a choice to agree
or disagree to share contact information with the IGP and/or the GPUS.
4.A unanimous decision was made to make the third Tuesday of the
month a coordinators meeting, open to all.
MCGP Coordinators Reports
Treasurer (Auden Thomas) Auden reported the Bank Balance $542.64.
Secretary (George Murphy) George reported supporting members total
455 and full members total 56.
Four Pillars Working Groups, We will be researching HOWL for a
future forum. Plans are proceeding
Greenspace Newsletter Submissions are welcome and the deadline is 6
January 2003.
Steps will be Facilitator for 7 January, 2003 meeting
